No! We bring bottles all the time!
Been there 30 times if not more never ever gotten sick and haven't known anyone to have gotten sick.
You can lull up in front of the entry and drop off easily then park.
A Dead Fish Story Who would name a restaurant “The Dead Fish”? The chef explains: When I was a boy growing up in Italy, I loved to watch my Nonna (grandma) work in the kitchen. The catch of the day-be it calamari, crab or a variety of fresh fish-was magic in Nonna’s able hands. Now my Nonna was a little Italian grandma with a big Italian heart. Friends, neighbors, even the local fishermen all knew, if you made your way to Nonna’s when you smelled that wonderful fish cooking, you’d be welcome to a plate. With so many people clamoring for her cooking, Nonna couldn’t be bothered with small details. She never followed a recipe-she just stirred and sampled. And she never remembered the names of the fish she used!! Whenever I would ask, “Nonna, what kind of fish is this?” she would shrug her shoulders and smile – “IT’S A DEAD FISH!!” Everyone laughed and had a great time. With fond memories of my Nonna, I welcome you to THE DEAD FISH.
There is an area outside alongside the building that "weather permitting" allows pet dogs. In accordance with California Law pet dogs must be under the control of their owner either by a leash or confined in a pet carrier. Owners and their pet dogs must use the separate outdoor entrance without going through the food establishment to reach the outdoor patio area. Pet dogs are not allowed on chairs, benches, seats, handheld, on your lap or other fixtures. I hope you and your pet dog have a wonderful time at The Dead Fish!

Look for Chuana, the sweetest ever! Ask for the garlic oil sauce for the crab and enjoy. I've been going for 15 years strong and never gets old. Try the long ice tea and hold on.
Had the chippino with a calamari appetizer. Both were amazing!! The calamari was so great we had to order a second order!! I would recommend this place to everyone looking for great seafood in the north east bay area. Reservations are recommended as this place is usually very busy
Excellent. I've only been there in the evening for dinner. Super good. Nice place. From Prim Rib to Seafood to Pasta to French Dip. Can't go wrong here.
The staff was extremely helpful and polite! Our reservations were for seven people, but not everyone showed up, however, the staff handled the situation with no problems. The food was amazing! I would recommend The Dead Fish to anyone who eats food.
My favorite place to eat. Always busy so make a reservation. Drinks need a little more pizzaz as far as presentation but cant beat the 20$ Fish and chips they serve on a daily. Always have specials. Tip your server its good Karma. Happy fishing!
I've eaten here many times over the past 25+ years. The good is always top notch. Very busy spot though, so plan on a long wait even with a reservation.
Greatest place around here to eat! Best food and the best servers ever. Beautiful view I love that place
Dead fish, now I know why they name it dead fish, last year was great, today its was nasty
Big, old school fish restaurant. We just got crab, which is pretty easy to prepare, so I couldn't say how they would do with fish. Good service. Lots of cheap wine by the glass. Poor beer list.
We've been coming here quite several times. It was fantastic before. The prime rib & cream spinach was to die for. So it used to be our favorite place. Then everything going down hill. The steak or prime rib was simply horrible now. The cream spinach it's not even creamy anymore. The people used to be really great. Now it's just kinda stuck up group. We used to see patrons there dress appropriately. Nowadays you will find people wearing jammies & pants hanging down. So today will be the last time of us visiting. Oh, they also don't give discount for armed forces service members.
This place is worth a try. They have large portions for convenient prices. Consistently neat and with great character. Highly recommended.
Good food but. Smells good not like a dead fish. Great views. Great service.
Great seafood combine with a spectacular view. Loved the fancy buds. Definitely worth the price, good for a romantic dinner or a family meal with loved ones.
The Dead Fish is one of my most favorite places to dine. The Chef presents such yummy fish dishes, salads, and bread. The servers are exceptional and there wine menu lots to chose. The view of the water is wonderful. Having a meal with a view excellent. Even if no view of the water....the whole experience is great wherever you sit.Highly recommend. Enjoy ;-)
We always love coming there to celebrate our anniversaries and birthdays for the last ten years but we stop coming in for awhile because the seafood menu was not good as good. Glad you improved the service and the quality of the menu. Chris is the best waiter ever!
What a great spot! Creative menu but the crab dishes are amazing. We tried the crab cakes, crab chowder and crab melts. Even took some chowder home. What a meal. The service was excellent. Jaysen was charming, helpful and fast. Great view of the straits. Hope to sit on the patio next time.
The dead fish is a great place to impress your date. Great food and a nice view. The angel hair lobster lasagna is a great choice if you don't know what to select on the menu.
Crowded. Good food and drinks. A little on the pricey side for what you get though. Service was friendly, albeit a little on the slow/inattentive side. Quirky, fun decor, nice fireplaces, and a sweet history. I'll return, but I probably won't rave about it like so many others do.
This place is horrible. I called 27 times without an answer or a call back. How is anyone supposed to support this business when they cant even answer the phone. Owner of the restaurant needs to fire the manager for horrible service. Here a photo showing the calls.
Beautiful view and delicious food. The staff were very accommodating of our group with different needs. Parking can be a little challenging but we were lucky to find parking. It's also a little pricey but understandable for the quality and type of restaurant. Good restaurant for a special occasion or get Together.
Oh my goodness! One of the best places EVER! Highly recommend, great food, service is top-notch...a little pricey but well worth it! Will gladly return in the future.
What a wonderful time! I celebrated my birthday here with my family of 10 and we were all impressed not only with the food, but also with the fantastic service. They really accommodated us and made sure we were well taken care of. They were so friendly and welcoming. It's a bit pricey but really worth it. Really good seafood. Fish and crab were excellent and the bar had Fortaleza Reposado... what more do you need? ;)
One of the BEST Seafood Restaurants in our area. Good choices, great food and service was very good - attentive, helpful and good portions. Reservation is advised.
The security parking lot lady, along with parking lot gentlemen were so pleasant and very helpful. Between the two of them they got us a parking spot near front door. They were very crowed but still seated us right on time no wait. The staff was so friendly and our waitress was very helpful, made us feel very comfortable and had a great sense of humor. Oh my gosh the food was delicious. The ambiance was fantastic. What a great place. 👍 We really enjoyed ourselves and definitely will be returning. Hats off to The Dead Fish.
Where do I begin?! We reserved a booth/tent on the patio overlooking the bridge & the water. The whole place is very clean and the service is upscale. Everything taste fresh and the recipes down to the dipping butter is flawless. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It's a bit pricey but worth it & the parking is free.
This is a fantastic spot for brunch if you enjoy seafood, particularly during Dungeness season, as they have some excellent crab choices. The grand view of the bridge is impressive and relaxing, perfect for a sunny day.
Always excellent food!!! Never have I been here, and I've been here many times, and not enjoyed my food. This last time, I tried the short ribs. Flavor golore!!! I'm a southern girl from Louisiana. We know good food...and this food is real good!!!!
A great get away for my Husband & myself when we wanna have dinner and chill. We have enjoyed ourselves each time dining here, from the friendly staff to the tasty food. If you love seafood they have several options that are BOMB 🦀 🦐🐙!!! Also, NO CORKAGE FEE considering we brought our own bubbly with us. 🍾🥂 Please take a trip to Crockett and enjoy because it’s well worth it.
Cant go wrong coming here. Kind of pricey but totally worth it! Always good service and wonderful food. The seafood is always excellent. Their holiday brunch are wonderful too.
It was nice but we were sat 56 minutes after our reservation time. The food was tremendous and tasty. The waitress was amazing and attentive. The food came out quickly. I had calamari, the branzino and a prosecco cocktail. All of it amazing. I highly recommend it!
Clean restaurant serving various seafood dishes. My friends and I had the seafood platter for 3-4. The crab is fresh and delicious! The restroom is clean. The drinks are good. There could be a wait for a table, so plan accordingly. It's best to make reservations.
